How to make Hubpages articles from your iPad
72Introduction
As you know, the iPad is a wonderful device, but currently there isn't any app which will let users make articles in it, as Hubpages's text modules don't work (the keyboard won't appear).
In this article you learn how to finally make articles with only your iPad!
The key to this strategy is an app called iTeleport. This app is the closest thing to magic you'll ever see. It lets you remotely control your PC in your ipad. That means that if you are in Singapore and want to control your USA based work-computer, you can do it. As you can see, the practical applications of this app are immense, from mailing to yourself an important document you left in your PC to using a webcam to see if everything is all right in your house.
Here I'll focus on how to publish your Hubpages articles by using a web browser and some imagination.
Apps required
-iTeleport: around 24,99$/ 19'99€
-Pages: costs 9,99$ / 7,99€
First of all download those apps from the AppStore.
Then, go to "iteleport.com" follow the steps required to download and install the needed software in your PC/Mac.
It's very well explained there, so I won't waste time here explaining how to do it.
It only takes about 5 minutes, and the support is very good if you have any problem.
After you have the iTeleport software installed and configured in with the PC and the iPad you've done the hardest part.
Next, you must create an iWork account. This is also extremely easy since you go to the website from the Pages app and Apple guides you through the process, which is essentially creating an account for you to store your documents.
The idea when making articles for Hubpages in the iPad is writing them on the Pages app which is perfect when you go on the bus or a taxi (every Hub writer here with an iPad does this!), but the problem is that you can't actually "make the article" with its modules and everything and you have to wait till you get home.
So after you have uploaded your document to iWork, it's time to use the "magic". From now on I assure you that I have followed all this steps to publish this very Hub from my iPad! (no video tough, you'll have to take my word ;)
Connect iTeleport and go to your browser (although the app is wonderful, there is obviously some lag when controlling your computer, after all your are doing it through the net). Go to iWork.com and proceed to download the file. Open it with Word.
Go to your browser again and go to Hubpages.com
As you may have guessed, the objective is to simply copy the document into your modules as you would do at home (and even out some images if you want). You can make it as complicated as you wish, but take into account that controlling it through the iPad is slower than doing it directly!
Awesome, isn't it?
So now you can go to Starbucks and publish that amazing Hub you made with so much care without waiting to get home :D
